Garmin shows a true permanent runner at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas (9th to 12th January 2018): The fitness tracker Vivofit 4 lasts up to one year without charging!
Create, switch on – and then forget: This is how Garmin introduces the use of the Vivofit-4 tracker. “Forgetting” means that the user never really has to worry about the functionality of the device: According to Garmin, the gadget has a non-stop battery for over a year without charging the battery.
Garmin Vivofit 4: Technical details
Garmin’s Vivofit 4 has a color display; Longer swimming sessions and showering do not matter to him. Using the menu, the tracker can be set to remind the user of sporting activity if necessary. Among other things, it assigns daily step goals to the wearer based on current activity levels, which automatically adapt to the user and gradually bring him towards a healthier, more active lifestyle. Other functions can be controlled via a smartphone paired with the Vivofit 4, such as sleep tracking. Pulse measurement or a GPS sensor are not on board – no wonder, these are the biggest power eaters.
Vivofit 4 with automatic sport classification
Another function is called Move IQ. Thus, the Vivofit 4 is able to detect changes in the movement of a user and to automatically capture and classify activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming. Who likes, uses the fitness tracker during the day as a digital wristwatch, including countdown timer, stopwatch and alarms. A weather widget provides a quick illustrated look at the weather of the day. Vivofit 4 also includes find my phone for those who need a little extra help to keep track of your smartphone. Using the Garmin Connect app, the user can customize the Vivofit 4 with dials, color themes and personalized text, such as an emergency contact or a motivational set. The bracelets can also be exchanged.

Garmin’s Vivofit 4 is available in white, black and black speckled. In the first quarter of 2018 the tracker comes to Germany and then costs $79.99 . Changing bracelets are available in navy and red speckled.
